Warriors hooker Issac Luke has produced a brutally honest evaluation of his NRL form, admitting he would drop himself from New Zealand Test side if he was the coach.

The Kiwi co-captain on last year's tour of Britain, Luke has found his form put under the spotlight since his off-season move from South Sydney.

Test coach Stephen Kearney is due to name his line-up on Sunday night for the Test against Australia in Newcastle next week.

"To be honest, if I was Stephen Kearney now, I would probably leave me out, just because I'm not happy with my performance," Luke said on Thursday.

"I've been pretty up and down the whole season.

"This year I don't think I've matched the requirements for the Kiwi jersey."

His struggles have mirrored that of the entire Warriors squad - with the revamped roster languishing in 13th position after a 42-0 thumping by Melbourne.

Luke said he would also accept demotion to the bench for the Warriors' match against St George Illawarra on Sunday - or even the axe to the NSW Cup.

Being dumped isn't anything new for Luke - but he is heartened by the way he dealt with similar circumstances during his time with the Rabbitohs.

"I've managed to react pretty well from it," he said.

"Hopefully I don't have to do that, but if that needs be, then I'm prepared for that."
